Hey guys, I've posted this in my current grow journal but you dont get answers unless you go find them so i'll post it here too.
i have a week old pineapple express and a 6 day old white widow, in the last 2-3 days the WW hasn't moved the slightest bit, while in the same amount of days the PE has started to take off, on its first set of "three fingered leaves" the WW seems to have stopped growing, all conditions are identical they have been treated the same, currently unsure of water PH but i boil my water and let sit for 24 hours before use, ive really got no idea on whats happened, come someone please suggest what the problem could be i cant pick up the problem.. conditions are the same so that rules out that, both plants get the same water so its not that, same distance from light, only thing i can think of is im comparing two different strains but still the WW should be a little further along for almost one week old, have i some how stunted it maybe?

yes the can can get stunted in this early age..specially then.. when the development of the roots is not yet to good and they are

vulnerable.

it can come down to many different things

my first tip would be to check that ph.

i`l see if i can get someone with more xp on soil to pop by :Sharing One:

Make sure you water so the entire pot is moist and you are getting runoff. The roots are forming at this point so the top growth will be slow. They will start growing faster in a short time so don't worry.

Hey Budson,

Once I found the root growing sideways on my plant. look around with a pencil, pushing down around the base, about an inch and a half away from the stalk. Gently push down, on the soil with the pencil. If you see the plant move in the direction of where the pencil is, you have found it. Gently push it downward the best you can.

This may not be it at all, just sayin it could be.

my two cents

Peace

Thanks rebel, im pretty confident with my water PH though my bag seed project hasnt showed signs, even when i added nutes everythings still been okay but i shall order a PH pen this week i'd like toknow what im actually dealing with.

Wooaahh Namvet that actually could be my problem ive only been misting them thus far maybe the first 2cm of soil gets a good water? i just gave them a good watering till run off hoping that does the trick, i'll step up the amount of water i give them now :tiphat:

Poking around with a pencil Eek? sounds scary.. i wouldnt be comfortable with that knowing me and my luck id damage something with out a doubt haha, just hope its a case of under watering, ill report back tomorrow and let you guys know if the good soaking helped, thanks guys! legendary!! :grat:

your PE's might just be stronger growers than your WW. A white widow I grew started kinda slow but after the 3rd node she exploded with greenery. Wait another week before lettin the panic set in. K.I.M.

Yeah I guess I should have said to use the eraser end of the pencil,

but I feel as my usefulness has passed

:smoke:

It's now gone from the nice darkish healthy green to a lime green yellowish colour, got a bit to do today so ill upload a photo in a few hours,
Thanks again for the help guys, makes AFN what it is today :dance2:

Hey guys, so still no changes besides the leaves have gone a lime greenish over the past few days still have high hopes though, its been 5 days of no growth whilst its room mate is still growing away happily, i gave it a good water the other day till run off, the leaves picked right up reaching for the light but thats about it, ill give it a couple more days to make some new growth before all hope is gone, i dont want to waste light on something that's stunted and yield me 5 grams when i have a perfectly healthy pineapple express growing that could use the extra light if your picking up what im putting down? heres some fresh photos from half hour ago.. if theres arent good enough just tell, taken from a iphone
