No need to fill up to the hole when planting a seedling cantgetrite. The hole in a hempy bucket serves to drain any EXCESS water. Anything below the hole is basically a reservoir that your plant's roots will grow directly into, but this will take a little time. So just water normally...and don't over-water that seedling!

Awesome! You'll love hempys man...one of the easiest ways to grow, and results can be phenomenal. What strain(s) you running, what nute regimen, and what size container?
headpiece...... tell me if my thinking about this is right....if i did fill to the hole when i plant my seedling in wouldn't that get the perlite all primed up for wicking........i only ask because after 2 hours of putting my rockwool cubes in dry perlite they look and fill dry ...iam afraid there dry out over nite if i dont get the perlite primed up .....or i could just be high

Are you running a traditional hempy (perlite/vermiculite) or just straight perlite?
iam running think different with advanced nutrenents 5 gallon buckets 600 watt with cfl supplementing the edges oh and 5plants

Not familiar with "Think Different"...anywhere I can check it out? Auto or photo? Also never used AN nutes so can't be much help there but sure there are plenty here who can...
600W should be fine, what's your room dimensions? 5 gal should be fine depending on veg time...

yo headpiECE, TD is an auto strain from Dutch Passion. There are plenty of impressive grows of it around site. Worth checking out. You might even be able to catch DutchPassionTony around the DP forum. :thumbs:
