Harvest & Curing Help with Trichomes Development & Harvest timing

Cheers man, thanks for the input. Will start flushing the GSC. What are your thoughts on putting them into 24-72 hours of darknesss before the chop? Do you think its worth the effort?

I don't know but I usually do it for at least 24 and some times up to 48. I have not done a side by side but I do it every harvest.

sweet, i think i'll probably end up just doing it too. i'm little concerned about the spider mites. i wouldn't say i have a full blown infestation, but i'm a little worried about leaving them in dark for 48 hours just incase the spider mites take over. what do you reckon, am i over thinking it? i guess this being my first grow i just don't want to fuck it up in these final stages..

thanks again for all the help, really appreciate the advice :thanks:

Ooo this late is hard to say. At this stage I would probably just pull leafs off that were the most infested to keep them down. As much of a no no as it is I use no pest strips in my room for the first 2 weeks and take it our after that before the plant starts to flower. It dose a pretty good job. I also use a fly strip in the grow space once I take out the no pest strip to help monitor for gnats.

took your advice and did a bit of trim of the gsc, its such a bushy strain there was a bunch a leaves hidden within the plant that the little fuckers were just chilling on. they don't seem to be attacking the blue diesel which is a relief, maybe because its so close to being ready for harvest they aren't interested?

yeh i've read a lot of comments of people saying how effective the no pest strips are, but got a little freaked out by the comments about Dichlorvos, one the active ingredients being carcinogen and dangerous to use with flowering plants. might consider using them to clean up my grow space after this grow is completed.

planning on putting the blue diesel into the 48 hours of darkness tonight after todays 18 hour light cycle. from looking at the images, how far off do you think the gsc is? the flowers are still really small in comparison to the blue diesel, dont think this one is going to yield much.

cheers
