New Grower Help

This is my first grow, sort of jumped the gun and started growing without reading at all. I planted an autoflower Pineapple Express and a Black Russian (non af) at the same time, not knowing which one was which because they came in the same baggy. One of them died when being transfered to soil from germination. I planted the surviving one in a small pot, 4" deep or so, and in multi purpose compost :cry: which was stupid I know.

It will have been in soil for 3 weeks on Sunday and its grown fuck all. I water it from tap when the first inch of soil is dry, just started feeding it with weak dosages of 9-3-3. Gets about 16-20 hours of light a day but always at odd intervals. It was transfered to a larger pot a week ago, with organic soil. Poor performance, I know I look like a bellend but any help is deeply appreciated.

Im germinating a Berry Ryder now in hope that it will grow properly this time.

What type of setup do you have, are you using lights or are you growing outside, basically what do you mean by odd intervals?

Indoor at the moment, hopefully if they become strong enough Ill put them outside for about 3/4 of their life.

By odd intervals I mean they get 16-20 hours of light but it can be separated into like 9hours then a gap and then 12 hours if you get what I mean, due to the fact Im growing at home and don't want people finding my plant.

Ah damn, yeah thats uh not good dude. I can understand though I used to have to do the same thing, you might just want to find a gap where you can just go 12/12. It will hurt yield but its better than being found out. As far as everything else just let it grow dude.:thumbs: And like level said good information in the beginners forum and introduce yourself dude

Im in no position to shell you out advice.



But if that was my seedling. I would add some extra soil to shorten the stem. id also lay off the feed, Id pop a Half pint glass upside down over the seedling. I wouldn't use tap water unless its been left out for 24 hours. id use a mineral water with a Ph 6.0 to 6.5. And finally id place it 4 inches under 2 x 18 watt Compact Flurecent lightbulbs a 6400k cool white and a warm white @ 2700k. then 20 on 4 off or continuous.

That Might not be right. Just what id do.

Hey man. Definitely dont want a random light schedule. Thats important. You need a permanent enclosed setup with a timer for your lights. What all do you have as far as gear and we'll see how far we can get with that seedling.

Really appreciate all the help.

At the moment just my standard 50W lamp, at night I put it in a cardboard box with ventilation and have the lamp over the top (20cm above plant aprox.) and cover the light getting out the top with a blanket. During the day It can be in the same set up, under my bed or on the windowsill getting some fresh air. I know this is bad for the plant but I honestly have to work with what I have.

Exactly what Pandora has to say.

Head down the local poundshop and buy a couple of cheap detattachable light fittings (the ones with the fitting on a crocodile type clip) and buy the highest watt energy saver bulb you can find in Morrisons or Sainsbury's. That'll help it along for now but do as Pandora says and re-pot it further down to control the little strech else you've a chance it'll topple over in later life.

I must also agree with Ochocinco, find a time where you can give it 12/12 straight with no interuptions, if thats the only schedule possible in your situation. The yield lost will be nothing to the feeling of not having to walk the streets in search of a smoke.

Don't give up, remember it's a weed so they can take a hell of a lot of abuse, experiment and have fun.
