I am planning my first time auto grow. I will be using a 400 watt MH/HPS rig inside my 2x4x5 tent with a flow through hood hooked up to a 4" inline ventec fan (190 cfm) with charcoal filter. My question is - do I run the MH for a couple of weeks and then switch to HPS or do HPS all the way through the grow?

Hey tj, I would use MH through week 6 or until vertical growth slows or stops, then hit em with HPS. Just my "My 2 cents"
If your keeping the plants in the same room I'd go with a full spectrum lamp and just change the timer on light cycles. It will save you money from buying both MH and then a HPS.

If your HPS bulb has an expanded blue spectrum it can be used for the whole grow with good results. If you already have the MH, then use it as Briman recommended in post #2.
Im lookin for reflector to my tent with unusual dimensions 2x4 ft First I want to use 250w but if I will need more I will use 400W. Please advise me some good reflector for it and tell haw it attached (along/across)
your reflector doesn't need to be 2x4 to give you good coverage. If you can, get an 8" hood, it will give you the best coverage of your area. My 600 Watt MH in an 8" hood gave a light footprint of about 4ftx5ft at max height. A standard " batwing" will work also but they put a lot of heat into your tent.
I think you get me wrong. I got tent 2x4ft and Im lookin for some good reflector for it. i dont lookun for 2,4ft reflector, probably it will be about 24x28". Also I need to know haw to attached it (alond/acros)

For my next grow, I'm using 2 150 watt HPS and a 175 MH in the middle, hung from a coat rack in my closet. See how it goes with both 
here is a batwing style. It measures 18½ in. x 13½ in. x 5¾ in.
you can mount it either way, but I'd hang it across the length of your tent. Reflectors and hoods come with brackets to hang them with and usually you get rope and pulleys to adjust the height with.
