I’m wondering how folks are watering the soil in their indoor gardens? I mean, how are you physically pouring the water onto the soil? In my tent I have lots of training wire going from the lip of the pots up to branches for LST; and, between them and the branches themselves, it’s a friggin maze! Then, getting to the plants 3-4 feet (1-1.25m) back it takes lots of pot moving and contortions of my part to get the mouth of a 1 gallon water bottle above the soil. Lol! I’m thinking there’s GOT to be a better way!

I really can’t do a drip system indoors because of the location and I have plants at different stages that require different nutes. So, I mix for each plant separately. I don’t understand how folks are watering SCROG setups where you can’t move the plants or get in their between them. I’m mean, how do you get to those ‘hard to reach’ pots?? Are you unzipping the tent all the way around to get at them? I sure hate to do that as it’d let way more odor out than I care to have wafting about the building.

I’ve even thought about finding a way to attach some PEX tubing to a water can so I can fish it into that tangled web. Before I try to get creative, though, I thought I’d ask the AFN braintrust how y’all are doing it?

@Give Pizza Chants had a good idea for this. A container with a tube attached to a stick, could put a valve on it too

That’s kinda what I was thinking. A 2.5 gallon gas can with a 3’ piece of plastic PEX tubing on it.

@Give Pizza Chants was who I thought of.

Hopefully he’ll be around soon. I’d love to hear his idea.

is this long enough? I keep my plants unencumberd because when I water I pull al plants out for inspection. and to rotate and spin every plant.

It’s not long enough but, like @Rollin_along said, I could add a piece of tubing as an extension. I haven’t tried a scrog for the same reason- I like being able to move my plants around. Just figured some scrog growers would have run into this issue and might have a slick solution.

You could even clamp a bit of hose on the end of that. They make longer spot watering cans for hanging baskets etc.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it! How’s that comfy chair this morning??:pass:

Will start off top feeding, then let them dry for a few days so the roots goes searching downwards.

All plant containers will have 1cm layer of lava rocks at the bottom, standing in trays with another layer of lava rocks. That way no medium comes in the way for the bottom feeding and the roots can sip it all up.
