How do you guys/gals store your seeds?

A friend of mine stores his in ziplock bags, then puts the bags in Tupperware placed in the freezer rarely has germinating issues.

If it came to a point where I was gonna take a break from growing or knew I wouldn't be able to grow all I have within a couple of years I would store them in the freezer for sure but personally, I just keep them in a cigar box on top of my bookshelf. Never had a problem. Freezer's the best place for them though :)

Plastic airtight tubaware tubs, with silica balls and in the fridge. Iv believe its Somthing like beans in the fridge last fresh for a minimun of 2 yrs.

Hello! (Is this greeting annoying yet? lol)

As you know for anything and everything, there is no one way that is the standard, nor all methods perfect for storing seeds. I just place my seeds in their original baggies they come in, inside an Altoids can and Ziploc them and place them in a fridge.

With the weather bouncing around (goes from cold to hot, then cold to warm, then whatever it wants to be), I decided to place them inside the fridge, rather than leaving it in a dark cool area, since I really don't have any good places like that in my room.

I keep them in the original packaging (or small ziplocs if they are seeds collected from plants) and seal them in Mason jars. I put an inch or so of raw white rice in the bottom of the jar to act as a desiccant. I store these in the salad crisper drawer, mainly because it is dark in there most of the time.

I stopped growing for 4 years, kept my seeds in a baggy in a tobacco tin sat in a box in a cupboard. Not the most conventional but I have some decent ak's on the go

Sealed in a jar down near the floor or my garage. Gets too warm for them in the summer probably, but I've germed seeds that were 3+ years old, so it can't be that bad. Fridge or freezer isn't really an option for me. My wife is a major neat freak and I'd be afraid that they'd get ditched when she went on a purging spree. :smoke:

A few years ago my dad found an old stash box in a closet when he was moving. There were seeds inside that were probably 20-30 years old. We germed around a dozen and several sprouted right out within a couple of days. Nature is pretty damn amazing. :gthumb:

That's awesome Andy! I remember years ago I was given a huge stash of really old bud that was found in the wild. Full of seeds. Most were completely dried husks but I would occasionally find one that had some moisture. I wish I would have tried to start some. Probably a good old school sativa (or, on the flip side, wild hemp!). The weed itself was really bad but I'm assuming because it was so old, or wild hemp...

All my seed goes into the freezer after a proper dry time after a harvest. I took some out and gave to a friend and they germed in 4 days with no issue. I keep them in a plastic test tube that has a threaded cap with rice in the mix to keep any moisture away from them.
