New Grower How I get my buds to colour up

Here is a method I use to bring out the pheno colors in my marijuana strain. If you've just purchased a strain that claims to turn purple,blue or orange. And you're grow is just about to finish, and it still hasn't turned into the desired color. Read here!

1. In order for the marijuana to chemically change into the desired pheno color it was bred to change into, you will need to heavily drop the temperature. The color change can be influenced by temperature.
2. Only do this procedure 2-3 days before your harvest. Make sure you have flushed, and done everything neccecasry. This is the final step to bring out that color that just looks cool, and that looks more appealing to your customers.
3. Get a cooling air-source (such as an AC) and bring the tempreture down to 4c (41 fahrenheit). Keep all lighting at normal, but bring the temperature down to 4c. Keep constant at 4c, raising it by 3c every 6 hours. If you keep it cold for too long, the plant will die. So slowly, raise the temperature by 3c, every 6 hours, for 3 days. You will now (after 3 days) have a solid desired color.

The colour change is not all about temps mate,its genetics/phenos mainly and you can't force it if its not there. Yes cooler temps can change the colour but thats not the case all the time. i had 2 of the same dragon strains growing in cool temps over winter,one purpled up,the other didnt. :smokebuds: That pic of that bud doesn't look natural either mate,looks like its photo shopped or been enhanced to me.

Yes it's an enhanced photo from google. But hasn't been modified, just enhanced. Also, in my personal experience (over the last 6-12 months) I've grown 2 color based plants, and they did not change color until the temperature was dropped. I'd assume that the plants do not change color themselves, and human intervention is needed for the right chemical change to happen, that is, if the genetics of the plant are designed to change color in the first place.

I've never seen a plant change color by itself, without manually dropping the temperature.

Plant also change colour the longer you leave them, and most of the time is genetic. Blueberry is the classic one, leave her to go amber and she colours up with gold,blue,purple &red.

Fully bread purple strains should colour up without temp change mate,have a look at some of mossys dragons,they colour up real nice and purple in regular growing conditions,also the red line from sweet seeds has colour too. You can check both out in the vendor sections :smokebuds:

"enhancing" is modifying and it's not a true representation of what the strain is. You should not have to stress a plant or sacrifice yield to get color change, it should happen genetically or not at all if you properly care for your plants.
