Any suggestions on switching from coco to peat. Plants seem to be more vigorous and are doing well. I was worried about cal/mag balance since I switched, actually cut back and had a deficiency which I'm correcting now. Other than that smooth sailing.

Both are good soiless options in my opinion. Coco more for a hydro approach and peat for more an organic soil-esque approach. What makes you want to switch though?

Could you expand further what you mean by Peat being more of an organic soil-esque approach?

I was under the impression that Peat like Pro-Mix is essentially barren of nutrients and that it's similar to hydro where you'd have to introduce all your nutrients with the water, whereas an organic soil has all the nutrient components added in amendments and from there you just add plain water.

Or am I misunderstanding your comment or have the wrong idea?

I may have worded it wrong. What I mean is if you intend to mimic soil with a soiless medium by amending I would rather go with promix rather than coco. Coco I would rather use for applications where I was able to water it as often as possible.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification.
