New Grower hps bulb life expectancy

How many hours before i need to get a new bulb? am using 600 watt grolux.

My 600w lummi sunblaster is rated to 32,000 hours which would be around 3 and a half years on 24/7 i would take that with a pinch of salt! I read somewhere that the lumens of the bulb decrease over time so you're probably better changing the bulb yearly if you can afford it mate

Cheers, it has been used for about 1800 hours ie 20 hours on 4 off for 3 months, so should be good for this grow.

Run HPS bulbs for 2 grows at the max.. They fade over time. Not worth paying electricity for a bulb that is not putting out the lumens and correct spectrum.
