Grow Mediums Hydroton bed or individual pots

Going to pop 10 autos and I was wondering if a full bed would be better than pots for each. Recently I’ve been running pots for each plant but I feel like the roots just don’t mature enough. This will be in a 3x3 flood tray with flood and drain. Thanks.
