Hydroton no longer made? Heard a rumor the german factory that made it shut down Anyone know if this is true?

I hadn't heard but could be true? I didn;t like it simply because had to many PH problems I had a very hard time stabilzing the PH when using it so kicked it to the curb. But I see others using it very sucessfully

It was strip mined not made in a factory, and yes they are shut down! Time for growstones...recycled

I made a special trip to North Coast Horticultural Supply Center's mother ship of stores to try and talk some small bags of the stuff out of them-they always try and push a big bag on me saying that they only have a few bags of the small size. So got to the store and the clerk said that the manufacture was out of biz. Got the last two bags! There are a few other brands of LECA--lightweight expanded clay aggregate.
