I'm getting visitors probably around day 47. This of course means hiding the evidence and I'm using attic for that. My main concern is the odor control because there's no electricity.

Current plan is to load the plants in a cardboard box and wrap it in big plastic bag. Or buy a plastic box. Then load air fresheners and odor removal bags on top of that box. This brings me to my next woe; air flow. Will MJ survive 2 days with minimal oxygen in darkness? Or am I to early harvest and if so, what's the odor then compared to alive plants?

I doubt that attic is on heavy use but I'd like to keep my good night sleep intact.

How many plants? What size are they? Nothing keeps the smell in except negative pressure and filtered extraction. No way you can run a cable up into the loft? You might not be able to smell it downstairs but you might stink out the street.

8 plants, 6 of them micro grows :D Betty Boos so they'll be max 20-30 cm at that point. They're not the stinkiest type but the sweetness lingers in air. No cable possibility. The street is far away and the building is high. My only concern is when someone else visits the attic. And, if the odor is managed, what about the airless condition they'll be in? Wrapped in plastic and all. Or maybe if cardboard box is used I cut openings to the bottom and wrap the rest... There is an air flow in the attic.

Get a cat ... put the clumps in an open pale ... leave the pail so the guests can enjoy ... that't what I do ... when the maintaince guys come over I put the pail in the hall way

Actually just crack the attic door it will draw the air out of the house thru the attic and out the vents.

No cat just for this ;) I've birds as pets. Air fresheners and battery operated portable fans attached to them (1,65€ each) to spread the scent. On the other hand they are smelling like coffee more every day. Perhaps by day 47 the "green" smell is replaced with the coffee entirely?

There seems to live a critter(s) of some sort in the roof structures. A pigeon would make a different sound so my guess is a squirrel, there are tall trees right next to the building. This makes me think twice about the cardboard. Worst case scenario is that no one even visits the attic but there are a little too happy squirrels roaming about when I return to take the ladies home...

Just speculation... I think your plan is pretty good. As someone mentioned, air is likely to be drawn up through the attic rather than circulating back down. Two days of darkness is pushing it, but it might work. The plants might look OK when you pull them out and then pout a bit (wouldn't you if someone shoved you in a bag for two days?) but my guess is that they'll recover. Probably let them get quite dry before putting them in there to avoid molding. They won't be able to lose any total moisture in that bag.

I moist, not pour, the coco before the box. I think I'll go with the cardboard as I don't want to smother them. Passive intakes to bottom. And this morning (day 36) I noticed they barely smell in dark. Only after the feed and lights they wake up. I hope this is the case also at day 45+.

On some site there were instructions to build drying cabinet. It had passive intakes at bottom and on top exhaust fan with a carbon mat. This lead me thinking those portable mini fans, like 4 of them, attached to roof with strings and blowing air out through carbon hole. Battery life and the actual power of mini fan are the ??'s

Yeah when they sleep is when they are getting their strenght up to smell pretty again and grow beautiful.I know a friend of mine did the cat pail thing combined with two small vent fans or something like it.If you have a vent capat the very top crest of your roof screw two set on low with the pail.Noone'll be none the wiser.he only had four short girls.I hope this help a bit.And if its warm where your at by chance.A natural way to get rid of fleas on your property is the spread freash peeled citrus peels cut up all over the yard. You can have the odd look at its a fact that it works too and hmmm they must be smelling so I guess.LOL!Happy Hiding bro!:joint:
