I tell you man the creativity and motivation is all that's needed. It's more important than any light or super nutrients available.
Not sure if you can check it out on my log but I just created a new badass room all on my own brain power. You learn what you need and don't need over time. The biggest thing is always plan the future along with every purchase you now make. Can you use everything later on if you upgrade? That's key!! As for lighting and efficiency there is very little that can touch Cree cobs. They run roughly 47% efficient. That's double most production 3&5 watt led lights available. With efficiency comes more light and less heat. Many companies sell pre made units for a decent price. Or you could diy for about 40% less.
