Have an abundance of lava rocks in both quarter inch and half-3/4 inch that I am hoping to use for my autopot run.

I rinsed them thoroughly and plan on soaking them night before potting. Additionally has anyone used Jacks 321 with an autopot? I have some on hand from my hand water run with bagseed and plan on eventually switching over to mega crop if it ever comes back in stock.

Have learned a bunch from all your threads and appreciate how much information is already out there.

Going to plant Critical Orange Punch auto or Blueberry auto in 2 2.2sized pots in coco/perlite in a 3x3.

Thanks in advance.

@Vitteselargesse. :welcome:Welcome to AFN :welcome:. I don't have a clue if that would work as I have never even seen an auto pot :crying:. Someone that knows about them should happen along soon.

Just a general thought, does anything leach out of the lava rock or are they totally inert? I would soak some in water of known PH and PPM overnight and see if there is a change.

Anyhow :goodluck:.

Thank you for the welcome! They are rated for bonsai trees so they shouldn't leech anything. Ill try soaking them overnight tonight. Thanks again!

Welcome.

Most do not use lava rock in the lowest level of the pot. I use 100% coco and currently using Mega Crop 2. I use Advance Nutrients b4.

It is an on going growing of knowledge. Enjoy.

Ended up picking up more perlite and will use that for the autopot to limit variables. Thanks for the replies!
