Is my seedling sick? Bright green leaves

Light distance is like much else with growing: less can be more.
The object is to give the plants the most light they can handle, but not more.
That depends on the exact setup and exact environment.
I usually take the manufacturers' suggestions as the CLOSEST distance the plants can tolerate, and start higher.
The harm from lights too far away is less yield and potential stretch (with insufficient breeze); from too close, it's burn likely followed by less yield.

I've got some new COBs that I'm struggling to find the correct distance for also.
One more thing before I forget, so since I botched my last feed and fed 400 something ppm until run off, do I need to flush it with clean water until run off before feeding it the light nutrients? or should I not worry about it too much and just feed like normal.

Hey m8.. im no expert but your babies look fine. Sometimes we read too much into them and think theyre in trouble. I'd say back down a bit on the nutes.. I use rhizotonic at 1ml per litre from day 1 with no problems.. and also.. just my advice.. stop watering them to run off.. they need some oxygen around the roots.. which are very small at the minute.. try to guage how much they need on a daily basis.. eh 100ml 200ml etc and only give them that.. I've never grown in Coco and from what I read it dries out quicker than soil so keep an eye that it doesn't dry out.. all of my experience is in soil but regardless of medium.. don't overthink it brother.. for the record I don't measure ppm or pH.. I use AN PH perfect range.. your light is fine at 18 inches.. good luck and hope this is some help to you.

Thanks for the reply! You’re absolutely right I’m just an over thinker lol, I wish I had read your comment before going to a YouTube video on how to apply rhizotonic via foliage spray, I gave them half a liter of 5.8pH at 100ppm with 2ml of rhizotonic(I think that’s full strength). Hope that was okay, they seemed to have liked it. The light distance for LED has too many variables, some say 18-24’ as seedlings others say 24-30’, I’m also confused because some people say u can put it a few inches above the canopy and it won’t burn cause LED doesn’t produce a lot of heat energy or something. I guess it’s all just trial and error, anyway thanks again for hopping in and giving your 2 cents!

Hey, I woke up today and one of my plants seem a little under the weather, it’s the one that stayed small and dormant. The leaves are drooping, I’ll post pictures of all 3. Some of the other seedlings have leaves that point downward but not as much. The last feed was almost 2 days ago and the coco still seems wet/moist.

Hey m8.. again I'm in soil rather than coco but dropping levels usually means overwatering.. I think as your mediums still wet that's what it is. Like i said.. that's y I never water a seeding to run off as the medium needs to dry out to let oxygen at the roots. My advice.. let the medium dry out but not completely then start watering say 100ml at a time when it dries out water again 100 ml.. and as they grow up the amount you feed.. letting the roots get some oxygen between waterings.. and again.. don't overthink it.. good luck

How come it took so long for them to start drooping? The last feed was 2 days ago but they were fine until now. I’ll take your advice and feeding in very small doses, let you know how they’re doing in a day or 2. Thanks again dude!

If you watered them to run off then my guess is that the 2 days is how long it took lack of oxygen to affect the roots bro.. but purely a guess.. try smaller doses more regularly rather than water to run off and see how u go.. I never water to run off even when my plants are in full flower.. some people do some don't.. I water a set amount per day stepping it up as they get bigger of course. I have 2 fast and vast in 12L fabric pots ATM which are almost 8 weeks old and feed 500ml per day around the same time every day.. that's how they've been for a week or so and how I expect them to remain until their done.. at 500ml per day.. u gotta find what works for you.. give your girls a week or so and see where they are then.. just be careful your Coco doesn't dry out totally. Good luck bro.
