Photography Is there a thread/sticky on tips for taking pics?

I did a quick edit on your image lunarman and let me apologize upfront, as to edit somebodys image without consent is a HIGH CRIME in the photography forums.

I corrected WB and simple added some contrast, maybe spending 1 minute in photoshop.

wow. that is nice. And thanks for asking for forgiveness after instead of permission before!!! LOL. I do that with my wife all the time myself when it comes to buying growing related items. Now I need to looking at buying Photoshop. My dad has a license but I don't want to use it and I don't want him processing my canna pictures just yet. Is there a lite version of photoshop? Or another product or online service that does some of the basic corrections/adjustments like WB and contrast?

I was wondering if you were going to come back to this thread. Glad you did.

Here is a picture I took at aperture 7 I think and A priority so not sure what the shutter speed was. I took this about an hour ago.

Another nice image with more detail then what a cellphone can give..... Your dad should be able to let you have photoshop on your pc or laptop. My son actually has the license but can put photoshop on up to 3 devices I believe it is, and so one of those devices is my laptop. I think it is around 10 bucks a month, photoshop and lightroom…. There also might be older versions out there on torrents....(which many use to do instead of shelling out money for the program though I don't know where the torrent world is these days)..

There are other post process editing programs available that are cheaper, I am sure if you went to office max you might find some program on the cheap especially now for the holidays, all I know though is Photoshop, as this is essential for a working photographer..... Heh, can't shoot a wedding for a client and not be able to edit...
