Pictured at very bottom is a Blue Dream Photo at 8 weeks, the pic above that is her LST training at 6 weeks. She is in Ocean Forest plus perlite and she has been LST trained and topped recently to control height and form a balanced canopy.

She was up-planted into OF soil (5G) on 7-1 so I figure she is still using nutes from this soil. Her pH is 6.3 tested with runoff plus a direct probe with Blue Lab a soil pH meter. I'm not really feeding her other than some Cal-Mag in 6.8 adjusted water.

She is growing phenomenally fast. Does this new growth tell me I need to add some nutes to catch her back up? Maybe the soil is not breaking down fast enough to keep up with her nute demands?

The top pic is just 13 days ago.

Her growth is exploding but has yellowish new growth.
Here she is at 8 weeks - 13 days after the first pic. Does she need nitrogen? Or is she ok?

Honestly ffof is pretty hot and if you want my opinion the plant looks good. It looks like it was getting a little too much nitrogen and the new growth looks good and is probably blowing up because it used some of the overload of nitrogen and it’s at a more stable level cause the new growth looks good I think it’s a better color green so if I was you I wouldn’t worry about it just keep up with your cal mag when needed and keep up with your micro nutes

I appreciate your feedback @Josh33 . One thing I have learned (still learning) is to be patient with growing. Many times I see plants auto-correct themselves when given the right nutrients along with proper pH to prevent lockout. I'll post a pic in a few days and we can see if there is any difference. Thanks for taking a look!

The plant looks great! I'm growing 4 autos and one photo is begging. The photo has gotten huge and I keep training her to keep her low. I took the photos are more stables and forgiving on their nutes intake.

I'm also in ffof soil. Was hot at first then a month into the grow was good.

Good luck with the grow.

I think a combination of my camera (iPhone) flash with the LED lights being on may have altered the color temperature of the original picture. With the LED off and the camera flash off, the new growth doesn't look as vivid and yellow.

Thanks @karlkutta for the kind words. I up-planted this Blue Dream on 7/1 into FF OF soil, and with this huge rush of growth going on, I bet the OF nutes are being used quickly. I may need to test runoff and start adding very light nutes before the month is over.

Looks like vigorous growth to me.

Testing runoff is pointless as it is what is no longer in the pot.
Soil slurry for an accurate in pot pH. OF is known for unstable pH issues, so keep your eyes open. I used to get pH slides right about 6 to 8 weeks, would drift well into the 5s. That being said, I don't see an issue with your plant in your photos, other than it might look a little under lit. How much and what kind of lighting are you using?

Thanks for your help @Arthur. I'm at the point of dropping FF OF and shifting to Pro-Mix HP knowing I'll have to be mindful of adding nutes early on with this type of medium. I have 3 ways to test pH 1-soil slurry, 2-runoff, 3-Soil probe with Blue Lab pH meter. I know pH is a real roller coaster issue with OF, so the reps at Advanced Nutrients tell me the nutes I use with pH perfect technology can help me buffer some pH swings. I still do my soil tests (mainly with the Blue Lab soil probe) and it seems in a good spot so far.

I use a HLG QB light, and I have it set to 35 Moles of light per day - I use a PAR sensor to read uMoles of light, then do my math for a 12 hour lighting cycle. BUT, based on your observation, I may bump the light output to 38-39 Moles. I think the plant will take that increase ok...do you agree?

So, you've flipped to 12/12, ok, what size QB? When I run photos, my lights are at 100% from flip on. Looks like your in roughly 2x2? If your QB is 250w or lower, time to turn it up.
I'm running 450w of cobs in 16sq ft & it works well, but at some point will be replaced with an hlg 550 QB. I expect that to be cranked during flower.

Yes, my tent is a 2x2 and the light is 135W QB. I have a wall watt meter, and when fully cranked, it shows 150W at the wall. I'll turn it up today. Should I go full max at once, or bump it up slowly?
