I've grown photoperiod flowers before, but never Auto. This will be my first. With that said, I had a couple questions regarding Jack 47 Auto.

I'll be growing in a 5 x 5 x 6'11" Gorilla Grow Tent. My light will be a 700W (actual draw) COB LED. Between my roomies and I, we have 3 rec's, meaning we could grow up to 18 if we wanted to.

Are there any suggestions as to how many plants would be appropriate for this tent? Also, what pot size would you recommend? I was considering going with either Smart Pots or Air Pots. Focus is definitely on trying to maximize potential yield.

Thank you all for your time.

I like a lil larger size pots, just finished a jack47auto in a 40 odd litre container and there was alot of wasted soil and it was way too heavy. Most of the experienced auto masters here would recommend 10-15ltr, 2.5- 5 gallons container per plant and that seems about right.

Yeah for autos I think everything larger than 15-20L is waste of soil.

I grow in 25 L autopots (Lightmix, Mapito and sometimes my own soil mix), 22 L Airpots (lightmix), 24 L Smartpots(Lightmix and own mix) and 40 L waterFarms (coco and clay pellets), and for all types the roots completely fill the pots. Especially the autopots with air injection (airdome) has a very fine root net with hardly any taproot, short and stubby they are.....just like others are reporting.

As far as I'm concerned, bigger is better........just my
Just my 2 cents.gif
