Hi Guys,

I'm Currently in the final stages of growing standard feminized cheese with Auto Cheese. The idea was that the auto's would finish a little earlier so i would have a couple of weeks smoking before the rest of my plants finish. I've not had much experience with auto's as i find them inferior to standard flowering strains in that they are not as strong and produce less in terms of yields.

What is the opinion here of the difference between Standard Feminized Cheese and Autoflowering Cheese?

Which would you grow and Why?

I will post pictures of them soon as the auto Cheese are very nearly ready now so I should get a good few bud shots out of them.

Just to say that i am using a 1.2 meter tent with a 1000 adjustawatt and a magnum xxl shade with 6 inch air cooled RVK..:-)

I started with 16 plants to find the best 9 which i am now left with..

I have 3 Auto Cheese and 6 Standard Feminized Cheese Left in the Tent..

I'm using GHE General Hydroponics Nutrients with Hydrozym, Silica, Rhizotonic and a little pk

I flushed the Auto's last week and they have around 5-7 days left I Reckon.

The Standard Feminized Cheese have around 3-4 weeks left to go so it was worth putting the Auto's in as now i will have a first batch to smoke a little sooner..

Hi jays,

I'm on my first grow, so not competent enough to make a statement on your questions.
Just wanted to say hi.

Looking forward for the pictures.

By the way, are you in UK? I contacted a "jay" when I was in UK a couple year ago for some cheese, but couldn't meet him.

If it is you, then I know you are experienced and it's worth following your thread..

Take care...

Hello jays, autos are a great plant to grow. I have done photos and auto and lean more toward auto's. With the genetics that they are breeding with, there are several strains that have tested in the 20+THC range! Done 1 month quicker too. Welcome to AFN and if you need anything, let me know!

Hello Jay.

As we are the AFN, I bet you can guess which way we lean. But I do like photoperiods for outdoors. Do you struggle with the light schedules when growing the two types in the same tent?

Anyway, welcome my friend, anything you need, just ask.

eP.

These are the pictures of my finished Cheese auto.. The standard non auto ones are still in the room and looking very nice indeed. I think having 1000 watts certainly has helped bulk these up as I thought auto's would be a lot smaller. So far quite happy with the out come and looking forward to a nice smoke.

I think to leave them in complete darkness for about 7-10 days before its fully dried and maybe to use jars after about 5 days.

I will post some pictures of the dry bud once i have it cured.

I think the other Cheese plants have around 2 weeks left so i'll update pictures then.

Does anyone know much about cannabis laws in the UK? I have heard that the sentencing guidelines have changed and you can pretty much grow upto 27 plants and not get in any trouble if you keep a tidy operation and clear all the old leaves away. My friend said as long as you can say it is all your own, it is all for personal use, it is your first ever grow and you don't have previous offense history that you will just get Community service or a suspended sentence.

Is that true? What are the opinions of this ? and what is a safe amount for personal use?

Personally I don't need more than 9 plants as that is perfect for one light and an easy set up to control. Its all for personal use (well mostly) averaging 7-14 grams a week so that is enough to potentially last around 23 weeks or 5 months..

personally its all just to save myself from spending a fortune and sometimes getting pony weed.
