Hey everyone, welcome to my journal for my first autoflower grow. I have grown photos many moons ago with varying successes and I am an experienced vegetable gardener. This is the first grow that I have bought specific soil and nutrients. Two plants will live in the garden and one is going guerilla style. I live in south east England and we are having some amazing weather at the moment and my girls are off to a nice start. Here we grow...

I started with 3 Think Different seeds and used the paper towel germination technique. I put damp paper towels in a small pot with a lid and placed it on top of an old freeview TV box for a gentle heat source. They all germinated within 24 hours! I swear this method works faster than anything else.
For planting I put an inch of stones on the bottom of 14 litre buckets then filled them with all mix. I cut the bottom off two small plant pots and dug them (empty) into the all mix. I then filled the small pots with un-fertilised soil. The theory behind this is that by the time the seedling is established enough the roots would have reached the well fertilised all mix and I won't have to risk transplant shock. I sprayed the soil with water to evenly wet it and planted the seeds tap root down about 1/4 inch deep. This was on the 15th, it's now the 20th and they are doing great.
I have been putting the girls in sunlight in the greenhouse until it gets too hot and the in partial shade and moving them about throughout the day so they have light but not its not scorching. It's supposed to rain and be cloudy for most of the next week so fingers crossed I won't end up with just one set of leaves and a foot tall plant!
That's it for now,
Peace :peace:

My buddy did one outside, South West UK and I did ok. He was cough tout by early mold but the bud he did save smelt lovely and was potent as..best of luck bro

Quick update, we have had two days of grey weather now and my girls are just getting taller, hardly any leaf growth. Just wanted to post a pic to see if they are about the right size. I know I can't do anything about the sunlight because they are in the brightest spot I can put them. I'm sure they are fine and I'm just being paranoid! They sprouted above soil about 3 days ago.

Looks ok t`me mate! :Sharing One:

The growth is slow till you get more leaves forming. I wouldn't "panic" just yet.

Looks just as healthy as my TD's that I will be putting outside. I noticed one of mine doing that but it is beyond that now. PEACE AN POT

This weather is really getting me down, a few weeks of sunshine and now a few weeks of cloud and rain :( my girls are about half the size they should be and are growing very slowly. I wish I had lights to start them off but I can't swing it. I'm getting a little worried that they won't be very big at all by the time flowering stage comes :(

I feel your pain. I had the same high hopes for an outdoor grow this year but when looking at the weather it seems pointless. Like you say one or two nice sunny days followed by loads of rain, there has also been a big drop in temperature with it to. Its now rained at some point here for the last 9-days. By the time we get to start outside there will be enough for one good grow before are weather turns again lol

Have to have a good think to see if its worth while setting up indoors somewhere. Mines in a wardrobe, with an £8 150w bulb. It can be done on the cheap inside although I have let costs rise as I think its worth doing properly if going to all the effort and the rewards will be so much better then relying on are weather or street dealers and you get so much more control over everything to.

Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

There is an auction finishing on eBay today for a 125w 2700k flowing cfl with powercord. It's got no bids atm. You could get it posted for less than 20 quid. Worth a thought man.

Almost given up on my outdoor cucumber & tomatoes.
