So I know it's not the done thing to plant this late, but I've got a couple of berry Ryder seeds left and thought I would just chuck them in a pot outside in a sun trap and see if I could get a quick harvest in before the weather turns. Was hoping there was a more educated Gardner that could give me some advice on getting it done? I know mould may end up killing this idea but as the weather seems to be getting better for longer into the year I want to experiment. Oh I'm in the uk London area? Any help is appreciated cheers guys

Grow record:

Germinated:
18th July
3 berry ryder feminised seeds from attitude seeds
using paper towel method, cracked the next day.

Planted:
20th July
10lt plastic pots
50/50 John Innes no.1 and perlite
Watered in 10lt of water PH6.6
Rhizotonic 40ml in soil before.

Lets see how they go I will post pics once they have sprouted. Any advice is very welcome

I just planted a MG 24K 2 days ago also, first frost around here is mid sept, should be interesting... August is usually hot and sunny, this is in a location were I can care for it fairly well, so will keep it fed and see what it can do!

you might want to build a mini greenhouse to cover it with later in the season you can make an A frame out of 1/2" pvc pipe and cover it with plastic. Inly needs to be big enough to cover the plant say4" tall That will extend you grow season to as much as late Oct if it doesn't get too cold. The greenhouse will keep the frost of on chilly nights.

Thanks pop
I was thinking of doing something like that or maybe buying a little poly one, my major worry is gonna be the mold from all the research I've done.

one of the ladies popped out if the ground today! Really happy!

Something which keeps the rain off, but is open sided might be the best bet for the latter part of the season. Alternatively bring it indoors, just somewhere near a window, when it's too cold and rainy if you can.

So little update, the other two ladies have popped up today, I thought as it has been so hot id give them a little drink of left over ph'd Rhizotonic water with the hand sprayer around the sprout. Still trying to work out how to upload photos straight from my iphone. Onwards and upwards

Hey butcherman, download the imgur app, upload pics to imgur, select large thumbnail, copy and paste the bbcode directly into this box and your pics will appear

Pm me if you need more help

Also congrats on the plants popping up!

:peace:

I just popped a single WOS AKR seed this past weekend. I'm in the midwest U.S. and figure I can harvest before the combines hit the fields in October.
