Now, cards on the table, and I'm not gonna talk like a politician, the first grow was UTTER GARBAGE. Maybe me, maybe the strain, or a combo, who knows

I know others had issues, and generally, as a test, not really a great showcase, considering the growers, I'm not putting that down to grower error

This didn't sit well with me.

I like to think I've been at this long enough, to be able to grow top shelf herb, whatever seeds are thrown at me, unless there is an issue with the strain.

I was scratching my head, 4 plants, all very forgetable, the only thing I had done differently was to top them. Maybe this strain doesn't like a topping? Or maybe a lot more time to recover after topping??

Out of fairness, the fact I'm just a lovely guy, the fact these beans cost probably half of the average weekly wage and were sent for nada, and the fact it is the legendary Super Sativa Seed Club, I gave it another run, it was make or break....she could go to the bottom of the seed stash box

Bloody hell

This is what I expected the first time.

She stinks like a chemical factory in a wet forest. This has Mephisto Chemdogging or Creme de la Chem all over it. It smells like it's gonna put me in a chair, a drooling mess. The buds are as hard as marbles. She had her last water today, I'll let the pot dry up for a few days, and she's down

So happy I ran her again, I was slightly bitter after the last time, but balls to it, in for a penny.

She has produced the goods, and more, this is really quality herb.....this time :yay:

I'm gonna tag everyone involved in the last grow

@HighnDry @HonestGR @blue @Trichome farmer @RivetGrrl @Proph @Mikis @F.N.

and @Waira

As a side note, she's been on 12/12 since birth, and only fed water, all the feed was provided by Plagron BioSupermix

Ribbz' you sly dawg, did I forget about this or did she run on the down-low?

:headbang: such a mensch! :pighug: ... A fine gesture indeed Ribbz', I can't say that after an 0/4 satisfaction run that Id' be as magnanimous... Thanks on behalf of AFN and SSSC for offering up another chance - :d5: .... best of all, it paid off!
... I see the better pheno's frost, density and good bud:leaf ratio,.... and the funky fuelly/earthy aroma as well, maybe this is the stank favored by the breeder? Most of all, I'm blown away that this is a 12/12 full run girl = :wiz: :clapper: ...They (auto's) don't all turn out this nicely! Petite as one would expect, but well branched (not a mono-cola), buds formed well (we know yield is not her game), and the resins are abundant!
Same soil and feeds and such?
I look forward to the dry porn and smoke report mate, mind you takes notes coz you know she'll make you forget! :baked: :haha:

I ran her behind closed doors, no public press conference this time, after her last performance, I relieved her of media duties so she could concentrate on actually growing me some cannabis. Fame and fortune can come later :eyebrows:

Same nutrient, my trusty Bio Supermix. Recylcled soil from one of the Zamaldelicas. A bit of a steptoe grow, but I wasn't gonna treat her with kids gloves, she has been treated fairly harshly from the start, and she didn't miss a beat. :naughtystep:
Maybe she likes it rough?? :deadhorse:

Nice job, glad to see she produced the goods! Quick tip, tags don't work when edited in hence my only seeing this now :pass: :smokeout: :baked:

Well done Ribbzy! You've done the SSSC test proud!!

Despite my plant growing really nicely, and it being super frosty - i was initially unsure how it was sitting with me. The smell was quite Fuelly and to be fair, a bit odd.

Since having it in jars for some months and a good cure, the flavours and scents have really developed into a much more pleasing smoke. The high is great, it's about the most indica thing i've ever smoked.

At first i wasn't sure if I'd run it again, but I'm certainly keeping a seed back now!
It'll be interesting to see how HnDs reveg goes with a bit more time! It'll be REALLY interesting to see how the next SSSC strain goes with the test team!

Nice dedication!! :D

This makes me happy! Im glad you gave it a 2nd go, and even more so that it turned out great for you! That pheno looks exactly like my runt pheno! The nugs were like metal golfballs, lol. I had a rough start but they ended up being amazing meds. I wish I had taken cuts. But I did pop my last two seeds this past weekend with the intent to make one a keeper/mother plant. This has to be their most indica dominate strain, lol. She knocked out everyone I let sample her!

I do think there are levels to genetics, just like there are levels to growing. I finally consider myself middle of the pack. (Maybe a little higher in my mind, lol).. I was gifted the chem d cut last year.. I could not get her dialed in for the life of me.. Ran her several times.. Tried everything suggested.. I finally gave up, lol. Im not ready for that type of plant. One that is sensitive to just about everything. Lava freeze may be one of those sensitive strains that just needs some pampering!
