I all ready have 2 mars 300 watt LED but wonder if the T5 are better or CFL bulbs are better. I like my LED's so far but just curious what you all think.

Hay bro I'm pretty sure the Mars will massively outperform the Florecent lights if used well, many people use the Mars here and you should exceed 1 gram per watt if you get your environment dialled in. If heat isn't a problem you could use all of the lights lol.

of you already have LED's, don't waste your money on CFLs, etc. they are good for starting seedlings however as you don't need as much light for them for the first week or two. But when you can buy a 300-400 watt LED light for not much more than what you'd pay for a good T5 HO, its no contest. I use only LEDs. I even built my own LED light for seedlings out of Red/Blue 15 watt LED spotlights that works great.

You can also use 1 1/4" PVC piping to dream up some crazy ideas. I came across a DIY post on some other part of the 'Net that got me trying it for a little bit. I ended up not much liking the setup myself, but others on the thread I found the idea from had decent luck.
