Lighting Led fan flow direction?

Replaced some fans to make them quieter but I've made them as an exhaust fan pulling the heat out and pushing it away from the LED.

Are they meant to be pulling air in and towards the LED?

Normally the fans blow down onto the heatsink so it blows the hot air across the heatsink and out the vents.
I understand your logic totally but this kind of thread has been done before and the led tech gurus explained the science behind it

I'm a noob so totally open to being wrong as I truly didn't know but that definitely makes sense so will switch them round. Thanks
