Hey people, just another question. I've been thinking about my current light setup. Seeing as I have such a small tent and 3 different lights with a carbon filter and all the ducting, I don't have a lot of space to grow. I recently bought two UFO LED type lights for use in conjunction with my primary 250W HPS lamp.

Now with the way they're positioned due to the canopy being so high, they have to be below the HPS light. Obviously this in turn blocks some of the HPS light.

Here are where my LED lights are:

And here's where the HPS is:

The lights are off in my tent right now so I can't get you guys pictures of all of them together.

What I'm asking is: Should I remove my LED lights for flowering? The HPS provides a lot more red light than the LED's can put out and even though the middle part of the canopy is getting HPS light, the parts blocked by the top of the LED lights are not.

For obvious reasons, I can't raise the LED lights higher than the HPS, the whole area of the top tent is covered by a carbon filter, ducting, cooltube and more ducting. Advice would be appreciated :]

Edit: Here's a little bud porn for reading my post :wiz:

Bump, any thoughts?

I have a similar setup in my room. I started with 2 leds (procyons) then got a 600w hps for flower. I now have the 2 leds on the sides of the plants for side lighting. I have them hanging at an angle. (One chain longer than the other on each fixture) They focus on the sides of the plants at an angle. The hps is in the middle above the plants. I hope that makes sense.

You might have been better of with panels instead of UFOs. Have the panels mounted vertically on the walls, one on each side. I like mrTee's idea. Move them into the corners and angle them a bit.

HPS all the way for flower. Shoot, for the whole grow. Use the LEDs as supplemental side lighting.
