hey guys its a newb question but what do you guys do with your left over water from feedings and foliars? ive noticed when i feed my plants i have alittle water left over should i pitch it or save it? thanks for any help

I save for a couple of days max if i think could use it, if not i pour any excess on my garden flowers, veggies etc.... It dosent keep very long once its made up.... :smokebuds:

Tossing it is the safe answer, usually down the toilet or a drain in the basement/GR if you have one.

If all of your plants are fed and none will need water for more than 24 hours after that - I'd toss it. I've never been one to let my water sit for more than 24 hours and use it again, if it's only a cup or enough to water a plant or two, I'd dump it.. but if I have enough for 4+ plants after watering, I'll keep it up for up to 24 hours if I feel another plant may need it before then.

Check the pH on it again before you use it, if it fluctuates extremely from the original pH, toss it. Look into getting smaller containers if say you're using a gallon size container and you only use half, get a half gallon container.. etc. If you're using a gallon and using 3/4 of it, what I'd do is get a measuring cup and measure out where 4 cups of water is and leave a mark on the jug. 4 cups = 1 quart, so 12 cups would be 3/4 of a gallon and then you can mix your nutrients on that scale... hope that's a clear enough explanation!

Seems aslong as you keep it circulated it will stay fine 6months+

Hope this helps

Homeland Security recommends households keep at least one gallon of water per person per day for three days in case of an emergency. You can use commercially bottled water, but you can simply store your own tap water. FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) recommends storing tap water in clean and rinsed plastic, glass, enameled metal, or fiberglass containers. Once you have filled the container, it should be tightly sealed and stored in a dark, cool location. The water should be rotated out about every six months. It won't necessarily go 'bad', but you may get some algae on the container (gross) and there is a slight risk of bacterial growth after several months of storage.

Of course this information is based on water so if feed has been added to the water i would not go with the above statement and toss it.

Ive been pitching it into my wifes garden but i watered this morning and had alittle left over and wondered if it was possible to save it. and did not now the some plants can drink that much that fast wg! this is my first grow and the first two weeks i only had to water 1 time a week but now its week three i see i had to water earlier then i did last week. thanks for the help everything is going good ph is still a little high but hope i can solve that soon.

Ive been suffering alot with pH issues recently.

My water comes out of the tap at 7.4 after bubbling for 24hours its 8.2 - Im starting to think the same process happens after bringing the pH down and feeding to plants as i checked the jug i fed my plants with yesterday and it had risen .2ph to 6.7 ! So if this is happening in the soil eventually its going to be very high and at a point its causing problems..

Im starting to think that the issue with pH rising/lowering is when too much water is being fed to the medium and it retains in the pot for too long causing it to fluctuate - im going to try very little and accurate watering to limit the time of moisture in the medium to see if this eliminates the pH issues as im thinking if its at 6.5 for 24 hours and 6.6 by the time it drys out this wont be as much of an issue

@Kaiju I have been seeing the same thing, get it ph'd
and a couple of hours later the reading is sky high
when bubbling, I guess I need to ph prior to watering
:Stones slap:

I'd toss it. But that's only my 2 cents.
