Ok I just got thru reading sticky on light cycles and I'm leaning towards the 18 and 6 for one reason , the heat . I'ts going to be a challenge to keep temps down to 87 in the summer here in the south US and my barn has no air conditioning . if I start my lights to turn on at 6pm and run for 18 that would make lights out at noon the next day untill 6 Which would be the hottest part of the day not running the lights during these hours should really help or am I missing something here? Please any input would be appreciated . Is this a common practice ?They will be in total darknes during these 6 hrs. Thanks peace

Lights out during the hot hours would be a good idea.Just keep some fans on at all times to keep the air circulating and you should be fine.
