Lighting Light distance from plants? (3500 k)

Cob? Hps? 20 inches seems to be as close as I can run my cobs in flower.
I asked a similar question and the consensus was 25-30in for the entire grow. This was from BigSm0 himself and a few of the others that run strictly Autocobs.
However, I’ve been having issues with density in my past grows so I think I’m gonna push for the 18-25in once in flower. Or at least as close as I can get without leaf curl or bleaching

thanks for the response as well! got em currently sitting 23 inches up; gonna see how they react to it over the next day or so
Keep us updated! I’m really interested in getting my heights dialed in. Haven’t started my next grow yet. Waiting on some supersoil yo get back in stock

I usually keep mine 30-36” in veg and decrease the gap to around 20-25 in flower. Usually end up with very tight dense flowers but this could be from my choice of bloom boosters too.
What sort of bloom boosters do you use?
Haven't tried anything to new or crazy, same base nutes + big bud and overdrive all 3 grows. Wondering what else is out there that is actually worth the $$

I had mine as low as 19" when I was growing my last run(first run with autocobs). People scared me and I raised the lights to around 20-22" though.
I think it just depends on the strain and what they like regardling light. I'm sure some strains can handle closer autocobs than others it's just a matter of finding the sweet spot. I might try to go lower this round on a few of my sticks but only time will tell. Right now in the beginning I have the autocobs at like 3ft so they can get accustomed to the system and lights but they will be lowered in a day or two now that it has been 5 days in the system and technically 5 days Into flower.

Current run I've had trouble even getting down to 30" with my Autocobs. It's still a learning curve strain by strain and how the cobs react because the lights are fairly new to growing. Two of my four plants (Exodus cheese & Skystomper) stretched far too much and I doubt that I will get anymore than an ounce each. If I lowered, the leaves got really pissy and frustrated with me.
