Hi there, I am hoping for some good advice on a recent problem I have encountered, fast bud 2 autos have been in light for 18/6 and are slow in flowering now on week 5, I have just noticed that the timer was coming on for one hour or so during the middle of the dark period since the timer had been accidentally knocked, the plants are very strong with thick stems but slow to flower, can anyone please help with some advice on how this will affect the plants and also is there a remedy? thanks in advance

From what I understand flashes will not affect autos. Also they benefit from a 20/4 cycle. Theoretically you could run them at 24 straight light but most agree that all plants need to rest. Good luck. Peace.

Thank you for that really appreciate it, I was wondering should I switch them on for 24/0 for a few days?

i would just amend the timer and carry on as normal shouldnt be a problem to be honest. Autos do not depend on a dark cycle to flower so even tho it may be a slow flowering girl she will be fine.

I've had this happen to me multiple times throughout my grow and my plants don't seem to be affected at all. I wouldn't worry about it. Just reset it to what it was and they'll be fine

I would also just fix the timer and just carry on.:smokebuds:no need to run 24/0 for a few days. :bong:
You wont see rapid flower growth in the 5th week, besides a ton of white pistils. 18/6 light cycle, seems to be right :point:

Thanks a lot you guys you have slowed my heart beat down I was panicking slightly well appreciated

I discovered the tolerance of auto's on my 1st grow, my main light was on a timer but i had 3 supplementary cfls which were on normal plugs. On 3 occassions after a few too many beers i fell asleep forgetting to turn off the cfls and thus giving them 24 hours of light when they were on an 18-6 cycle, there was no detrimental effect and all plants made it safely to harvest. I came to the conclusion that autos are extremely tolerant to drunken buffoons like myself!

Has anyone had any experience in using a foliar spray called Halo? apparently contains Harpin which leads the plant to believe it is under attack, this ‘tricks’ the plant and naturally forces the plant to ‘defend itself’ turning on stress-defence and growth systems and reproducing very rapidly. If a plant ‘believes’ it is under attack, it will grow and reproduce at rapid rates as a means of ensuring it’s survival. This results in a healthier and more productive plant with an increase in crop vigor, stamina, nutrient uptake and reproductive growth (depending on time of application). That is what the producers claim so can anyone enlighten me? many thanks in advance.
