Id like to know everyones input on whether or not allowing a plant to stretch by distancing the light or keeping it squat by lowering the light affects yield? I have a TD growing... compared to all other pics at the same time frame my plant is about half as tall... just as many fan leaves and levels... It has 4 - 100 watt equivalent 23 watt 5k Daylight cfl's, 4 - 100 watt equivalent 23 watt 2.7k Soft light cfls and 1 LED ufo type light all in a square foot square (think the 5 side of dice - X formation 2 cfls in each corner) hanging directly above it with the led in the middle... The light is always withing 4 to 6 inches above the lower leaves and the center stalk i let get as close as 2 inches from the led... heat is no issue... Will this effect my final yield being my plant doesnt have to do much stretching? should i allow it to stretch? Its a beautiful healthy plant... each level of new leaves is over an inch and a half to 2 inches... the plant is easily as wide as it is tall... will less spacing lead to less yield? Thoughts?
