I'm about to start my first Mephisto beans and I see that a lot of people do 20/4 over 24 hours of light. What are the reasons for the dark period?

Proper photosynthesis, this is a common debate around here, Sure they can grow under 24 hrs if light but as someone who has tested 18/6 20/4 and 24/0 the only thing i saw increase on the 24/0 was my light bill

I dont care to run a heater in my grow, tight space. So I run my lights 24/7= steady eddy temps and such.

So there is a way to do this and then there is a way that we dont do it.

Your example is how we dont treat members on the site. Sure there is pages on this information however sometimes its easier to give information to the person rather than being a complete dick.

In the future please be respectful , and if you were trying to be by that statement, maybe check the wording before you hit reply.

In the amount of time that it took you to type out that comment you could have copied the link like you did below. Which is much appreciated, im not trying to nit pick here but the last thing a new member wants to see is that type of response in their thread,

here is the thing, the site is dedicated to education of members and sure sometimes its a pain that they blindly ask questions but were here because of them.. Without new members the site would not be here for you.

@Kingmufasa1187 I prefer to run 18/6 but my current grow is in a cold area in the middle of winter so I had to keep my lights on 24/7 until I stabilized temperature and humidity with a ceramic space heater. Now I'm running 20/4 and my plants look happier after just a few cycles of the dark period.
My plants have had a lot of stressors this grow but I feel like they would be taller and happier had they received a dark period throughout the grow.

I read that exact thread up to page 11 and read nothing but opinions so I figured a new updated thread would be quicker and more accurate
