Hey guys,

I noticed some light spots on a single leaf on one of my Sour Stompers yesterday. There is also one leaf with similar spots on one of my Sour Cracks as well.

I am growing both of these plants in 50% Coco-Loco and 50% KIND Soil. Feeding them tap water ph'd in the 6.2 to 6.8 range, with recharge and carboload every other day. They also occasionally receive general organics CalMag and superthrive. **my tap water is hard** I do not have a PPM measurement though.

Temps are 68 to 83, normally 76 to 77 with lights on and 70 with lights off. Humidity is low, around 20 to 30%. I water them daily, with about 2 liters. They are dry the next day and feel very light. I usually water based on the weight of the pots. Pots are 3 gallon fabric. Lights are 8 citizen 1212 COBs, 1 marshydro 300, and 1 vipar 300. The blurple lights are used as side lighting. These plants are sharing a tent with 3 plants that are about to be harvested and then 1 other Sour Stomper than is in the same set up but has only received water (i am experimenting with water only vs water plus organics in KIND soil).

These two plants are super healthy and have never shown any stress. They still look great minus some old leaves on the bottom and 2 leaves with these spot. There was only 1 leaf last night and now there are two on the Sour Stomper.

Any help would be appreciated... It looks like light calcium deficiency to me, but I am not sure why.
@Waira

Here is the first bad leaf from last night, will try to get more photos tonight.
It is around the middle of the plant.

She looks healthy overall...

Looks to me you are running out of P right when you are needing it the most. This is just soo typical of a Kind Soil grow. The plants grow impressivly well right up to flower, then just falls short in so many ways during flowering. I would check the pH of your medium just to make sure you are not starting into lockout, and if medium pH is good, give P/K booster and CaMg.

Can you share a journal so I can check out others have had to deal with? I couldn't find one that showed P deficiency.

I do agree though, it does look like P deficiency when I quit ignoring the dying leaves... Not sure why I thought they were just older leaves dying off.

I added 'AN Overdrive' to their feed last night. 1-5-4 NPK. I will feed with that again today.

:yeahthat: :pimp: yeah man, that's the ticket! Symptoms are early and minor, so not especially distinctive,... but the fine spots look Ca defc. related, despite the hard water; pH your water down into low 6's, since there's been some cumulative hard water inputs now, and go light on then Ca-mg, and lets see if the pH tweak helps; a concern is adding too much Ca-mg on top of the hard water, and making PK uptake suffer ... The yellowing smacks of early P defc.,... if you want to stay organic, GH Biothrive Bloom and Roots Organics HPK are decent products, otherwise, a milder synthetic nute will serve to supplement,...let us know what you use so we can recommend dilutions if needed,...

ah, just missed you post! The AN will be fine at usual strength,... the P defc. symptoms are not typical, lacking the necrosis often seen with it, but then this is a minor showing so far,... Lowers are getting normal tapping out symptoms,... For what more typical symptoms look like, explore the Defc. Pic Depot, in this section, above the patient post area,... there are several "sticky" articles located there, a reference section...

I pulled a few leaves off before making this post... I chalked them up to just dying off but my SS#2 isn't very mature, so that seemed kinda strange.... It all makes sense now, they were dying due to P.

I will probably go grab some RO water tonight and then feed with RO water PH'd with AN Overdrive. If I use hard water, I will PH to 6. I do not have a soil probe at the moment and am hoping to avoid it... Going to go DWC for my 2nd grow.

Thanks a ton guys :)

best thing is the Accurate 8 soil pH probe, by Control Wizard.. nothing beat direct measurement! Run-off testing bites for accuracy, and this unit will pay for itself many times over! prevention is so much easier than cure,... relatively cheap too, about $50!
...oh, your RH is too low, this can put potential water/transpiration stress on them,... see if you can nudge it up into the 40%'s,...

I have a Kind Soil grow in my signature that I grew a little while back. I used just Kind Soil and Roots Organic Original and no additional nutes just to test the "water only" claim. They grew so good right up to about where yours are now, then started falling apart bad. I did harvest a crop, but it was less than half what it could and should have been. I had enough Kind Soil left over to try one more plant. When she started into flower, I started adding AN Big Bud and GH CaliMagic both at 2 ml/L and later switched to AN Overdrive and CaliMagic. That plant yielded way better than the first two plants, but still nothing to write home about. By the way, I am 100 percent sure that the Kind Soil that I got was infested with fungus gnats when I got it.
