So as it goes she is 5 days old, i just transplanted her into the final pot which i had pre watered and had sit for a couple hours. Ill be doing a 20/4 light schedule, nothing but pH water the first month, and ima try and keep the updates to at least every 3 days. Im looking forward to working with all you once again!!! :peace:

happy monday fam! :bong: here with another pic update for yall...just gave my girl a watering, pH at 6.4.....so far so good.....question for yall...i know FF soil is good for 30 days but should i start my feeding around week 2ish? ive been going on about my grows starting my first actual feeding with the nutes at 30ish days....just wondering if i wanted to beef up this girl, starting feeding early may be the way to go? thoughts? opinions? i had a half a** grow going on last cycle and now this is my first time being 100% with all equipment ive been trying to get my fingers on, so im anxious to see how far i can push her to get maximum yield...

I personally would not. The pics look as if the leaf tips look like they are already a little burnt. FF ocean Forrest is some hot stuff. Some use it straight out the bag with no problems, but most cut it 1/2 and 1/2 with FF light warrior. Try to up your ph to 6.5 and go up to 6.8 in heavy flower. That has been my results with the Ocean Forrest. Someone else might chime in their :2cents:. Using nutes earlier does NOT make bigger plants or more vibrant plants. All it does is burn the piss out of em and stunts them. Go no nutes until the 4th set of true leaves, then start out at 1/4 strength. After the pre flower stretch stops, then switch over to flower nutes.(pre flowers will show up, but keep giving veg nutes until stretch stops). Then flower nutes, start out at 1/2 strength and get a good PK booster for the remaining flower til time to chop. Veg is not where you get the yield mate, its the flower portion of the program!!! Use the search bar. Go to New growers forum, go to FD's guide to hefty Autos, an give it a good read!!! He not only tells you how to get the most out of autos, he gives a FF feed schedule to boot. It is a great read. Also under the new growers section read the life of an auto plant. I have been growing for a while, and still find myself re-reading this stuff. Ocean forrest has good stuff in it, but it does lack dolomite lime to buffer the ph, so I amend the soil BEFORE i plant the seeds. Just My opinion. Karma to your grow!!!

I'm working on my first grow.. and one of my autos is a Candy Kush too.. week three I.added nutes.. using.FF feed chart.. only stunted it.. by burning .. I just did a 9 gal flush on them last week..(3 gal pot).. today is day 36 and it is stunted.. I'm hoping I can get something decent at this point from her.. I'm.also using straight FF ocean.. I wish I would have amended the soil..

Hey guys and gals...nothing ventured, nothing gained!!! I f*cked up many grows, not only starting out, but well into being seasoned!!! I started DWC and blew it BIG time!!! I am a dirt guy and nothing I can do or say will make me anything more except trying something new. That being said, I run only 1 strain at a time and only 1 medium at a time, just to simplify things a bit. Even running 1 strain, plants needs are different. I grow in 5 gallon pots and the feed requirements are different from plant to plant running the same strain. My intention first growing, was to get these big huge monster plants everybody else was growing and drooling over their pics of bud porn. But what i discovered was it took these folk some time to put together a regime that works. So if you find a strain, dirt and feed schedule that rocks, dont try to fix what isnt broken. I have found that on the nutrients, less is more!!! Dont try to grow the plant, try to grow the roots!!! If the roots are big and healthy, your plant will follow! Mole, you will get something from your plant. Maybe not yield, but knowledge my friend. Be patient guys, and if you try and push the nutes, do it in small increments. Start with 1/4 strenght and SLOWLY work your way up. The genetics on the Candy Kush are already great(Kush x autopounder), so you dont have to push em as hard in veg. When you see the leaf tips change, its too late. Dont use the FF feed chart on their web, its too hot for autos. FD's ff chart in the new growers section is a great tool. Be patient, have fun and grow your roots, and watch the trees grow!! :peace:

mole, ill have to read your journal sometime today when i get home :smokebuds: and good info guy, brim i appreciate the input....i have read through FD's guide, obviously there is so much to learn, and im not in too much a rush, like you said, im trying to be a pro like all the mods on here right off the back  but i didnt think i was doing it wrong waiting to add nutes....i havnt added any amendments to my soil, i will have to make a note of that as i will be starting a new cycle at the end of the month...i did try to find some dolomite here at one point, and i live in a small town so i was very limited and i cant remember why but i wasnt successful finding any...maybe i should look online.... but the feed schedule that ive been using has been FD's....whats your opinion on molasses? and using it once a week throughout the grow? i read about how its good to add it a couple weeks before flushing but it can be fed throughout the entire grow....thanks again guys for stopping by!!:peace:
