Any recommendations on a small and quiet oscillating fan? Preferably a clip-on. Thanks

any suggested clip-on on amazon will normally do it's job. Even a shitty fan doesn't make all that much noise, I would even say the shittier the better! Anything with a high price will usually be so overpowered it makes a ton of noise.

I have a 6" Hurricane but it doesn't oscillate.

Know it's an older thread, but I'm looking for a new fan myself. Surprised at how few small fans there are available that have an oscillating feature. The two 8" Holmes Blizzard oscillators I got are just way too powerful for the little space I'm working with.

Searching around, though, I did find an interesting looking one that's built for marine application that I'm thinking of giving a try. It's only a 12V fan, so likely not too powerful. Thinking I can check Radio Shack or the like to see if I can source a USB connector power lead to provide the 12V and then use a phone charger type converter to the 120V outlets in my closet (or just put in a power strip with included USB plugs).

Amazon product ASIN B0002UEO2I
Edit: Reading some more, USB is 5V (dunno why I thought it was 12V). So I'll go with a regular "brick" transformer if I give it a try.

I use a tower fan that oscillates from Lowe's for $25. The base is 10 inches in diameter and it is 30 inches tall. It blows the air to the base of my plants as well as the tops. It's been running and oscillating for 60 days now on a 20/4 schedule.
