For my first grown in the newly remodeled closet, I'm looking at changing up my hydro setup a bit. I'm running 5 gal buckets with net pot lids, and using the GH air lift "WaterFarm" drippers for a combo drip/DWC setup. Previously, I've used the three part nutes, and checked the PH every night with sampling a little of the resvior, and doing a complete change out once a week. While I'm learning the life cycle of autos, I thought I'd change it up and try using the Lucas formula throughout for the first time out, checking the PPM/EC each night, and just topping off and adding nutes as needed (reserving complete changes for "as needed" circumstances only). Partly to try something new, and partly because I'll be adding more buckets and change outs will get a bit more difficult with the small space.

To that end, I'll need to upgrade my meter to one capable of checking the PPM levels. I'd like to go with more of a remote, drop in style probe model. I'll be running three individual buckets/reservoirs, so thinking more portable than continuous. But I'm open to the idea of using a continuous and just leaving it in the last one checked over night.

Looking for suggestions on brands and models to check out. Any thoughts/suggestions on my general plan also welcome, as I'm fairly new to hydro and this will by my first time with autos as well.

Thanks!

Just getting into hydro myself. Ordered 2 of the Hydrofarm Waterfarms last week. Looking around the net the Bluelab truncheon pen style seems to be a winner.

Bro I've used many and the best one is general hydroponics ph pen they do a ppm pen aswell and that's just as important good luck on the grow mate
