Can't say about the final yeild, wrekstar - I was plucking and cutting at them right through their growth cycle. I'd start smoking cabbage then graduate to immature buds, then harvest what was left. A good way of keeping the plants small : ). I can say I had something to smoke right through the growth cycle and then a small jar of bud and a pile of trim that lasted a while after harvest, but I'm a light smoker - it wasn't a lot. I was doing all this abroad, which is why it had to be super-stealth (some heavy laws there) and I wasn't counting or measuring anything - just getting a toke together.
As for colours. I used mostly the red-end of the spectrum lights (2700 k?) which I believe Phillips call 'warm white'. I think I had three of them and a cool white. At the moment I'm using only 2700 k cfls from seed to finish and my plants are doing well, and I can't say there is any difference from using a mix, but I don't know what would happen using all cool white.
Dryer sheets... I've heard about them, but never tried. I found some active carbon felt that was meant for air filters and I made a long cone of that, supported on steel mesh, and the fan pulled through it well. It meant the roof of my cab was sloped, but eventually I built a smaller speaker cab and started 2 plants from seed in there then put them into the PC cab every two weeks, so the sloping roof was good for the different sizes of plants.
