Okay talk moonshine with me...i make green dragon everclear tincture, but the problem is we cannot buy the everclear in our country, so I have to ask a huge favour form a friend that travels to the US to buy me bottles. I would like to stop this. My wife and I grow most of our own meat and veggies and I would love a mini still to produce pure moonshine for the tincture. I figure I only use a 60 oz bottle for the season, and the sole purpose of the moonshine would be for tincture. Are you a shiner? Chat with me

Sup 912!! Im not a shiner either but there are some possible alternatives ..you can try the iso alcohol method..stores carry 70% up to 91% or even 99%..ethanol is used in lab settings,so possibly check those places and it will be 99.9%..also electronic suppliers use a high grade for cleaning components..mail order,if it will ship, not sure on that one due to customs..in the US we have constructiin supply places like Grainger or White Cap where iso 99% can be purchased...it sounds like you wanna stay with a food grade eth,but there are vodkas that are high proof also,if your store might carry them...

Hey thanks for the alternative. Ideally I would stick with food grade, yes. There is no booze in our liquor stores over 150proof. I have to ask our friend in another province if they can get 195 everclear. If I can find it within cannada I will just buy a 6 pack of 60ouncers and not have to worry about it for a few years. Honestly though? I would rather make pure moonshine...my wife and I grow 80% of our yearly meat, and 70% of our yearly veggies, so it might as well be homebrewed too if its not too difficult or costly.

I had another thought for you, again as just an alternative, @archie gemmill / @agobshite had mentioned a method to help remove the water content which would make a more pure/higher proof everclear,i dont know the whole process just thought id mention it...ill finally be running my extracts this morning and have some new posts in my everclear thread..Peace bro
