Didn't this light just enter the market a few months ago? If so, why's it been discontinued so soon?

I’m pretty it’s been out for quite a while.

I've had mine around a year now. If they still have the buy one get one free deal I would go for it. If not, I would look elsewhere. For a single pendant light my autocob out performs it, and it's cheaper and draws only 65 wats of power compared to the 110 the mars draws. I would recommend checking alibabba for some cheap "quantom" style boards with the Samsung diodes and a meanwell driver.. Mars is starting to sell the same thing but with double the price tag. Just make sure it has the samsung lm301b/h diodes. Dont get caught up paying more for the "H"

That lamp is really not worth that price.
Only that lamp? I don't see ANY they sell that's worth the price.

It's a Chinese company selling lamps direct, at a premium. Don't make sense when you can purchase direct from other manufacturers, for the same damn thing. Of course, this only applies to ppl with a limited budget. There are many growers that are not limited by budget.

I keep saying this but I got nothing against Mars. I almost purchased Tents from them. I also enjoy chatting with Tina every now and then. However, I'll always favor my AFN fam over any light vendors.

I'm fortunate to have done enough research to know the differences. Study up on Alibaba and get acquainted with solid vendors such as Kingbrite but avoid Meijiu at all cost! This will be a good start for peeps who wanna get their moneys worth. Another option would be to build your own but that would require even more research.

I'm not in the market for a light right now but I'm just curious why avoid this particular manufacturer ? Do they not use the lm301 diodes they claim ? I've worked in electronics manufacturing for 10+ years doing inspection and pcb repair. These lights are so simple i cant imagine more than one or 2 bad runs before they worked out any board builder errors. My next light will probably be an ailibabba kinda of deal, and my biggest fear is them not using the parts they claim.

Meijiu is a fraud as far as I'm concerned. Warranty is honored as they like, so it depends on your luck. They have been accused of switching out lower bin diodes more times than any other Alibaba seller. A quick Google check will show you that. Red flag imo.

Personally, I had 2 malfunction out of 3 boards I ordered. Both were under warranty. In short, both boards was handled very differently and they even tried to make it my fault.

I'd stay far away from anything Meijiu!
