Grow Mediums Mephisto Fantasmo Express & Chem de la Chem

So here's my first journal ever. First time in AutoPots as well. Been reading a lot and wanted to say thanks to @bushmasterar15 @HemiSync @pop22 and plenty more I can't remember right now. You guys have helped a bunch whether you know it or not.

I'm in canna coco, using Heavy 16 as my base, Voodoo Juice, GreenPlanet ProCal, canna boost as my carb, AN overdrive for PK, and Drip Clean. Kinda a mix match of nutes but it's what I'm rolling with. I'm at day 17 right now and just turned the air domes on. Feed schedule right now is Heavy Veg 5ml/gal, Voodoo Juice 8ml/gal, ProCal 4ml/gal.

I'm growing Mephisto Fantasmo(on left) and Chem de la Chem(on right). I probably didn't plan the strains well for autopots as the sativa dominant fantasmo is already out growing the indica dominant CDLC. I'm running a MarsHydro reflector 144 so i need to move the plants to get an even canopy. Don't really see that happening with the autopots. I need to get some of those autocobs! So I did something controversial and topped the Fantasmo at the 4th node. Fuck it right? We'll see how it goes and hopefully my canopies will be similar. She seems to be taking it in stride and growth hasn't slowed much. I've topped autos before with decent results so I'm not to worried.

Your ladies are looking good @ReNN042 and could turn on the reservoir now or if you wanted to wait till day 20. When I was using Voodoo Juice before it has the smell of coconut water. Wonder if anyone else gets this.

Decided to take your advice @bushmasterar15 and fill the reservoir tonight on day 19. The pots still feel a bit heavy so I didn't top feed anything. I plan to change the res every Sunday so I only added 2 gal of water. That should be plenty for now. Now all the fun begins with learning this autopot system. I'm interested to see how much water will be used and the pH drift over a 7 day period. Still at 5ml/gal Heavy, 4ml/gal ProCal and just added .4ml/gal Drip Clean. I'll add pics every Sunday.

I start my first res fill at 5 gallons. It's lasts about a week. I don't empty the reservoir through the whole grow just when it gets down to the filter I refill the res with new nute solution, same when switching over to bloom.

I’m subbed in for the ride. Nice start to your grow. Topping at the fourth or fifth node is fine for autoflowers, should not bother it in the least. If you learned anything from me, I hope it’s all the things not to do.

Everything is still trucking along. The Fantasmo is showing early signs of slight nutrient burn. Backed off my base by 50ppm. Still using Heavy Veg but at 14ml/3 gal. Everything else is the same. Creme de la chem is a small bushy thing. Hopefully it'll start stretching soon. Pre-flowers have begun showing.

Day 30
The fantasmo is blowing up and coming along nicely. She seems to be a bit sensitive to the nutrients so I had back off the base a bit more. I'm seeing tip clawing and a slight burn. Definitely nitrogen. I didn't flush or anything and am hopping to work through it just by reducing nutrients. The Creme de la Chem is a short stubby girl who doesn't seem like she's going to be to big. I had to trim off 2 fan leafs and tuck a few others just to get some light on the side branches. Hopefully she streches a bit when flowering takes off. I'm now using flowering nutrients and my feed schedule as of now is. Heavy Bud 4ml/gal, ProCal 4ml/gal, Drip Clean .4ml/gal.
I have definitely learned I don't need as much nutrients using coco and the autopot. Hopefully I can get things dialed in a bit better before the grow is over. Either way I'm digging coco over soil so far and love the autopot.

I'm still hoping for a good stretch during flowering. She's just starting to show signs of the beginning of flowering so it shouldn't be long. Either way, it will be nice to have a indica dominant strain. Good luck with your grow. Do you have a journal?
