What is good to mix in with the soil to encourage beneficial microbial activity?

What is best to add during growth as a top dressing and/or in the water?

I'll most likely be using Roots Organic as my base soil.

You can add mychorizae powder or granuals to the mix before potting and add more to top dress after about four to six weeks to boost the microbes. Also adding a little molassis every other week will feed them some sugar to feed the microbes .This along with a good organic nutrient should work out great.

Thanks. I have been reading about the product Recharge. Seems legit.

my vote is alfalfa meal. Best top dressing hands down (in my humble opinion and this is only anecdotal, always check with your professional pot doctor first (mod doesn't like it if I don't attach that disclaimer) is ewc. As a mtter of fact I could grow in nothing but ewc if I had enough. I always have pot, but I'm always short on ewc.
