I'm new to hydro and I just set-up and started my autoflower seeds in the DWC bucket with regular pH-corrected water.

My question is in regards to following the recommended nutrient mixing ratios on the side of the GH Flora-System bottle(s). I understand how to mix the ratios at the different stages and my question is in regard to the ultimate ppm that you end up with: that is testable with my EC meter. Am I assuming that following the nutrient ratios, mixed in the proper volume of water container, will theoretically result in the ppm listed on their charts? Additionally, I understand that if the final mixture is too concentrated (read higher ppm than target), then draining a small amount of solution, then adding plain pH-adjusted water ought to bring down the ppm in that volume of solution. If I need to bring it up, however, what's the best way to juggle the small amounts of each of the three additives, given the fact I can't just mix them together in the recommended ratio and dropper it in?

Thanks!

Bumping a thread that has only been up for less than 3 hours isn't cool. We get plenty of activity here and all threads are responded to within 24 hours, usually a lot less.

The ratios listed on the GH bottles are for photo sensitive plants. Generally speaking, autos will only need half that strength. Best to start at about 1/4 strength and work up. Yes, if the solution is too strong, then just add some water to dilute it. If it's too low, add more. It's really that simple. If you need to add more, than remove a bit of the existing solution, say a half gallon, then mix a new half gallon with the higher concentrations. Best to learn by watching your plants. If you pay attention they will tell you what they need.

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

Sorry, I don't know why I bumped it last night. I was kind of rolling with a bunch of things at one time....

Thanks Muddy. I'm going to try it that way, rather than spoil a good thing early. That's a good shortcut to adding the nutrients as well. I will also try that!

Thanks again!

"Early and late rains", oh my some people are gonna be waiting a long long time for it to rain in their house!
I may have to test the possibility of Cloud seeding inside my cabinet :D:
