I was reading a thread and someone mentioned giving Ron Paul a contribution and that they was going to give again. He or someone goes on to talk about the stoners voting for him and thats why he's getting so much support from the young crowd.

After I read that I had this bazzar idea that just might send a message to politicians like never before between now and the election.

WHAT IF EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA CONTRIBUTED $4.20 TO THE POLITICIANS CAMPAIGN THEY SUPPORT?

They say money talks and since its not a lot of money we might just get a huge number of said, "STONERS" to send a real message about how they feel about legalization thats totally undeniable and untainted by beaurocratic lobbyist bullshit!! Whatcha thin "Stoners"?

This is an awesome idea!

Ron Paul believes in states rights regarding cannabis growth and consumption. (edited by TBM)

For this to be effective a very large amount of people would have to donate at the same time.

I suggest we pick a date for a money bomb, on that date everyone that's going to take part makes the donation.

Unfortunately, April 20th is too far away, so how about setting a date sometime in February?

We can write up a mission statement and post it on other grow/mmj sites. Possibly even set up drives at dispensaries.

I'm willing to do some artwork and publish a website and promote. I'm in a great position to promote. I run a clothing line, and have website building experience

Note: I am a member of Ron Paul's Campaign (edited bu TBM)

I definitely see where you guys are coming from, and political arguments flairing up is definitely not something I'd want happening on such a chill forum.

Canon if you want to continue the idea and take it offsite, shoot me a pm and we can exchange emails.

Muddy - Thank you for the modification of the post. (so much nicer than simple Delete like one other site felt compelled to do.

Alright,, this is starting to build some momentum,, but with changes.
Working with other's there seems to be a plan developing to try and have folks do a contribution to the candidate of their choice on 4-20-2012 as a collective group effort to make the MMJ comunity heard by politicians everywhere.
I'm not smart enough to do this on my own, so there's help.
Can I post a link here to another MJ related site for anyone that may wish to participate in making this work?

Again,, THANK you Muddy.

ROHIS - I'll get right back to you (need to check something first)

That works for me

Thank you.
I'm working on trying to get it viewable without needing to registter to do so.
I know for me,, if I need to register just to view I'll often get discouraged and pass. Looking to eliminate that requirment first.
I'll update as soon as Riddle wakes up. LOL

I know I'm new, but anyone whose spent any time here soon learns that this place and the people who post here are special. One of the 1st things I noticed was that folks here were not politically charged but focused on the task of helping one another solve issues concerning autoflower cultivation... life. It would be a shame to let the duality which politics demands of it's adherents to divide us into camps which then must be defended long after the polls have closed and the names & faces of the candidates forgotten.

Peace - RF

My first impulse was to delete your thread but took it up with the admins and other mods first. I was on another forum during the last presidential election and things got way out of hand with flaming, name calling, etc. which ended up in people quitting and/or being banned. That's the last thing I wanted to see happen here.

Muddy - Thank you for the modification of the post. (so much nicer than simple Delete like one other site felt compelled to do.

Believe me,, I fully understand. I visit many sites under different names (mostly looking & learning) and have seen what you speak of first hand.

We're having a problem trying to send out the message without somehow making it a political Party/candidate endorsement of any type. But, it's being worked on.

When something somehow evolves to that satisfaction a open thread maybe created on the site so folks can gather and comment without needing to actually register. That may take some time as most of us are not that good with politically correct(?) wording.
We're definately looking for input.

If anyone is really interested, Sorry, registration is still req'd at this time, here it is.

Sites owner is included in this. Just a matter of removing potential "bugs" at this time to avoid political turmoil from overtaking.

Again, thank you.

Politics

Just curious to know where some of you stand on the political spectrum.
I'm guessing that the majority are liberal/left wing but I might be wrong.

To start the ball rolling I vote Green party.
