Ive used,
J Arthur Bower's Multipurpose + John Innes, and
B&Q MultiPurpose Compost

A have little experience but was very happy will my results. What if any do the specialised soils do that these wont? Am I missing out?
(I did add perlite)

:woohoo:

tarot,
I've never used those products, but as long as your preferred mix is free of unwanted pests (bugs, mold, etc), drains well and has good pH values you should be fine.
Remember that autos can be sensitive, "MrPiggy Hug", especially when they're young, so if amending with nutrients less is often better. A "hot" soil can really bang up your gals!
