Been on prescription morphine for 15+ years and decided to wean myself off of it as it really wasn't working that well anymore and figured I would try something new after doing a TON of research - so, grew me some shrooms and ended up with around 55 grams for my 1st grow. Since it is strictly for me, that should last me a long time, tho I do enjoy growing them so am going to continue growing different varieties.
Then of course I needed some cannabis. I did not even know about autoflowers until around April of this year as it has been a loooonnnngggg time since I have messed around with it, but it sure seemed like the easiest route to go down, plus it allowed me to try different types to see which one will work better for me....
I bought around 15 seeds but thought I would just start with a couple to see how it went. I planted these in the pots they are in now and the white widow broke ground on May 10 with the rhino rider coming up may 12th.
The soil - so much info out there. I ended up using a homemade "subcool super soil" and filled the conatiners up a little over 1/3 with that and then I just used a store bought potting soil to fill it the rest of the way up. I forget the brand off the top of my head, but it took me a long time to find it as I didn't want anything with poultry crap etc in it. The basic ingredients, off the top of my head were just basically "forest stuff" with nothing else added. I am thinking I found it at kmart, tho their website only shows miracle gro and hyponex and it wasn't either of those (poultry - I just didn;t want that for some reason).
I did also buy a small bag of Miracle grow Violet potting soil and mixed it in the top part - I just read the ingredients and liked it so thought I would throw it in there.
I also got a small bag of seed starter soil, put a very small bit in the center and that is where I started the seeds.
I started out growing these in my garage under a cfl, one for each container. Originally I had planned on making a growing chamber using cfls since I would only be doing a couple plants at a time at a time. I started moving them outside during the day, thinking a cfl couldn't compete with the real thing and I ended up being a bit surprised as I did not think they would get as big as they did, I was thinking these were going to be like 12-18" tall tops. As they continued to grow, I decided to just go ahead and leave them outside all of the time - another good thing about autos I guess, while 20 hours or so of light is good, they are going to do what they are going to do no matter it is 12 hours or 20 hours.
Since I have the supersoil in the pot, I have not added anything to them, I only water them when needed.
I originally had them near my pool area, but as they grew it got to where it was pretty obvious what they were, so since i have very yound grandkids and their parents and friends coming and going, I moved them to the back of my yard by my woods, out of sight for the most part.
Normally the tall grass in the pics is mowed, but i let it grow so it would help hide them and now u can't see them unless u physically go back there.
I do also have a Samsarra Punky Lion (feminised) growing back there. For that I just dug a huge hole in the ground and used the super soil and potting mix combo I used for the autos. - It is also doing great. That I did transplant from a pot.....
Anyway - I guess it is time I get me a loupe or scope. I tried taking some pictures of them but I can't get close enough to know when they will be ready. Supposedly they shouldn't be ready until around July 9 for the white widow and July 19 for the rhino rider, but I can't see them making it that long, I am guessing they will be ready to harvest before then, but it is my 1st time so who knows. I tried getting a closeup pic but my lens just isn't good enough and I didn't have my tripod, so it is blurry.
But I am thinking they seem to be doing fine, hopefully they will continue to do so.
Now just get me a Solo vaporizer and I will hopefully be good to go and can kiss that morphine goodbye forever - good riddance hopefully
Sorry if pics are too big
Rhino Rider
pyramid white widow (not as full as the other, I should have pinched it or something. I just didn't realize it would get this tall)
