I have a similar carbon filter and it does a decent job in a wardrobe.
you don't need the ducting hanging out of a window just hang your filter in the robe at the top and connect it up so the fan pulls air through the filter and pushes it out of the ducting.
I cut a hole in the back of my robe and the ducting pushes fresh smelling air out of the robe and into the room.
