My plant is eating itself?!?!

Hi I have a photo purple chem that is about done flowering (according to breeders time frame) was going to flush for a week, just within the past couple of days I've noticed the buds and leaves are becoming very bridle and break to the touch, today the bud looks like it was dried to crap and crumbles in your hand? What could be possibly ailing my plants? It's doing it to a few others slightly but nothing like this girl

I know its probably not but it looks like the light has burnt them. But I know someone has the answer sorry to hear this Yoda sending some karma your way for your lady :karma Cloud:

It's funny you say it looks like they were burned as they were moved the other day from the 210w led to underneath a 1000w hps
The RH is below 40% temps around 85/86 in day and about 65 at night.... The light is about a foot away from the tops of the plants... Am a noob with A 1000w HID a whole other learning curve after getting the hang of the LEDs
Or I'm thinking bud rot?
Just talked to a season grower and they also think it's burned... They asked how close the 1,000w was from the plant. It was aprox 10" away it's not like LEDs I guess have never used a 1000w hid before most I used was a 400 and I could get my plants within inches of it with out any ill harm.... I just raised the light to about two feet from the top of canopy.... Then I'll worry about the little ones stretching to much or is 1,000 w strong enough to penetrate that low?

Such a wonderfully powerful thing a 1000w hps is. Rule of thumb, use the back of your hand above the plant to tell temp. If it's to hot for you hand...... I love my 1000w but like all things there is a learning curve. I keep my hps 4&1/2 feet off the ground and let the ladies grow to it. Never have a problem with burning them. They stretch until their happy then bush out once their satisfied. Best wishes.

Almost forgot! What king of reflector are you using?

No its not mold I'm just about positive its light burn and I hear you Yoda about getting use to something until this grow all I had used was a 100 watt HPS and now I have a 250 watt and there is a big difference so I couldn't imagine the jump to a 1000watt. I would love to find a good used HPS ballast from a 250 watt up to 600 watt to use with the 250 watt then I will have enough light to fill my grow space.

I am tripping balls here! What do I do? Do I chuck that entire plant and bud away? Can I safely use it for ISO hash?
What should i do with the rest of the ladies? Harvest now while they are showing no signs of it? Just the c99 looks hit, a few other plants just look to have it very lightly on a couple of leaves... Could something have been lurking in the new tent?

it does look like it might be , but my old eyes cant tell from pics , when i look at your pics i see it as also possible you got light bleaching

is it like a fungus growth or discoloration only ?

Have you checked for spider mites on the bottom of the leaves mate? I had an infestation which looked the same on the top with the little mites on the underside:no:
