So, I want to buy a small inexpensive pump/vac chamber to purge QWET runs.

Similar to this: https://www.bestvaluevacs.com/2qt-flat-stainless-steel-w-3-cfm-single-stage-pump-1407.html

However, I've never used one and don't completely understand how to setup and operate it. My best guess is as follows:

1) Insert silicone mat and extract in pot, place lid, attach pump/hose.
2) close outlet valve, open valve towards pump, turn on pump until reading on vac gauge is correct (what value???)

Now what? do I then:

3) turn off pump, close valve towards pump to retain vacuum.
4) wait for bubbling to stop
4) open release valve to exhaust gases
5) repeat until bubbling ceases?

Or am I way off?

Hi,i am by no means an expert on vac purging QWET ,and since i dont vac it this is just an opin/observation..the process/guess you post is pretty accurate ,but dont forget that it must be warmed/heated as its vac purging this is what makes it "muffin" up ( at least with bho it does) i long heat at about 130-140 to get the wth out on my qwet, sometimes for 2-3 days or longer to get the residuals out, this is done under a pyrex dish with a heat lamp on it..cheap and easy..have you tried adding a fee drips of water before the finish of the initial pan purge, this allows the temp to be taken a bit higher without burning the product, the ( slightly) higher temp with help het more eth out and make for less work later..more members may have some input @Powerful14 maybe?

There are some food savers.and a cock pump can also be used.both will create a vucumn.
And a lot of pumps are not safe or were never intended to pump a volatile gas.:pighug:

Yes this worked for me I was able to keep a low heat purge and the consistency was more towards the "shatter" side than the regular wax concentrate.. the water drops allowed me to purge much longer than I usually could, give it a try surprising results for sure
