Hey, this is my Dr. Feelgood plant, almost 9 weeks old.
Started yellowing up on the bottom leaves, now getting brown spots. it's a hydro garden with a 1 gal. bowl or 3 liters. I use 16 mls of each, auto Ph micro, bloom and grow, in a mixture of spring water and distilled water, mixed according to directions. This plant has an awesome web of roots in the bottom. I keep the lights on all the time and also have a very small fan blowing just enough to move the leaves a little. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

My Dr F has been suffering from these symptoms too, turns out it was a PH lockout. What is your PH?

Are you sure they are nine weeks old? There not even flowering yet and they should be finished by now.I hate to say this but they should be that size at three weeks so somthing isn't quite right.Only thing I can tell, one thing is you should have a dark period so the plants can process the energy they get when lights are on.Only thing I would do at this point is go to 12/12 and see if they start to flower

Thanks for the help

I'm using the Ph controlling nutrients and my Ph is pretty normal, around 6.8.
Someone else told me the more light the better with autoflowering plants so I have been keeping the light on most of the day, not much darkness.
I turned the light off for the night now, hope that works!
Thanks!

I'm not a hydro grower but I do know that a pH of 6.8 is too high for hydro, which is most likely causing your nutrients to be locked out. Take a look at these charts and you'll see the proper pH for hydro growing.

At 6.8 pretty much everything but nitrogen and magnesium are locked out and unavailable to the plants. Your plants are showing a P deficiency, and P is not available at that pH. You said you are using nutrients that control the pH, so I assume they are the AN pH Perfect? If so, what is the pH and ppm of your base water? If the ppm is high the AN nutes won't work properly.

I use distilled water and when I tested it, it tested about 7.2 so it is high but the AN ph perfect seems to have brought it down but maybe not enough? What would you suggest? Using a ph down? Not sure what you mean by ppm, is that hardness or aklaline? All I have to test with are test strips that I use for my hot tub. My bad?

Oh yeah, by the way...

Oh and I counted the weeks wrong, this plant is only 6 weeks old today. Funny tho, I turned the lights off all night and the plant jumped up an inch over night!
Cool!:jump::jump::jump::jump::jump:

Even at 6 weeks it should be well on its way. PPM is parts per million. If you are gonna hydro farm then you ought to get a good quality ph/ppm meter. You might want to do some more research on growingin Hydro. Pretty tough for a first timer but it can be done. Good luck. You have a pretty good adviser in Muddy. He knows his stuff.

Thanks everybody, I have learned a lot from you all. Id the PPM for the Nutrients? Is that what it measures?
I just bought the pH test kit with the up and down solutions so now I can control the pH but is it really neccessary to test for PPM if I am following directions on the nute bottles for mixing and strength?

PPM is referring to the amount of dissolved substances per liter of water. That does mean nutrients but it also will detect the starting value of your water. Tap/spring water will be higher than Distilled/RO water, for example. I'm not a hydro expert. I'm just starting my first hydro experiment. From what I understand testing PPM is definitely advisable in hydro. You can get a PPM meter or an EC meter.
