Would appreciate some tips etc on mixing up my water and nutes and supplements. I know order or sequence is important so I want to get that right. And any other tips would be great.

I have tap water that is medium hard. About 150 ppm I think. And PH is about 7.
I have Remo nutes
I have House&Garden Drip Clean
A local shop blended PH down
A local shop blended PH up that has 30% silica phosphate

How would you go about making up a batch for the reservoir? I'm thinking I'll start with 10 liters. Or maybe just 5. It's for 2 plants in autopots and then shortly I'll have 2 more. Just waiting for them to root and grow a bit more before I put them on the res.

I've used to apply the products in following order:

1. CalMag products (MagNifiCal)
2. Silica products.
3. Base nutrients (first MICRO, then GROW, or later on generative period, BLOOM)
4. Additives that still makes an impact on the EC, such as VeloKelp, Nature's Candy or AstroBloom
5. Enzymes, carbohydrates, beneficial bacteria etc.

--> Check pH and EC and adjust as needed

Hope this helps! :toke:

Later when it comes to topping up the reservoir as the pH and EC drifts and the total solution level in the reservoir drops, it is sometimes hard to estimate how to adjust the pH and EC with simply adding top up of feed set to any given values based on what the readings are in the reservoir. I made a simple formula that I use to calculate this, might as well share it with you here:

How to calculate top up feed to adjust pH and EC of the reservoir in hydroponics

A = Current volume of the solution in the reservoir
B = Measured EC of the current solution in the reservoir
C = Measured pH of the current solution in the reservoir
D = Wanted volume of the solution in the reservoir
E = Wanted EC of the solution in the reservoir
F = Wanted pH of the solution in the reservoir
G = How much to add solution (D-A=G)

To what EC the solution is to be set at = ((D*E)-(A*B)) / G
To what pH the solution is to be set at = ((D*F)-(A*C)) / G

Sorry if you already posted this, but what is your target EC range you aim for with the Remo nutes?

Maximum EC I usually go to is around 1.2. If I happen to have monster plant, they may have maximum feed around 1.3 to 1.4. Feed peaks at early to mid flowering and from there I give less strong feed depending on how the plant likes to feed.

Oh, almost forgot to mention that the values include my tap water EC. That is around 0.14 EC
